Beauty Prescribed (video)

In spring 2017, HDCS students partnered with the DT + AMT programs (Design, Art, Media, and Technology) to produce project proposals for the MAD (Musée des Arts Décoratifs). This project was conceived by Sarah Gasper (MA HDCS), Remina Greenfield (MFA DT) and Dasha Ilina (BFA AMT).

Beauty Prescribed

Artists Dasha Ilina and Remina Greenfield have paired with historian Sarah Gasper to present “Beauty Prescribed”, an intimate performance proposed for the Cabinet des Fables, a reconstruction of the mid-eighteenth century boudoir which was once located in the Hôtel Dangé at 9 Place Vendôme. Remina Greenfield takes the role of an eighteenth century noble woman who performs the ritual of the toilette in this exquisite room which boasts gilded boiseries that have been illustrated with the Fables de la Fontaine.
